First International Baseball Field In Denmark

The Danish Baseball Federation (DBaF) and the municipality of Odense (the third biggest city in Denmark) successfully planned with the Company Sports in Odense (Firmaidræt – FKS) in 2014 the construction of the first baseball stadium to use international standard specifications in Denmark. The hope is to strengthen baseball activities, not only in the local area, but in the whole country. Initial construction was completed for play in the 2016 season.

Denmark is a small country and the location of the baseball field is in the geographic heart of the country. Only 2 km from the principal east-west motorway in Denmark, the field  welcomes teams from all over Denmark as well as Sweden and Germany for international events.

Further expansion such as dugouts for team benches are now underway (April 2017). Plans also include the construction of an additional, smaller field to develop baseball for young players as part of the Little League International baseball program, of which Denmark is a member.

We welcome the citizens of Denmark to share this wonderful game with all its positive social and character developing qualities. Come out to your local baseball park and watch a game of throwing, catching and hitting a ball on a sea of green grass and sand!!
