For the first time ever, there was a successful Little League International-sanctioned Little League in Denmark with 4 teams playing 12 games each. Not unusually, 3 of the teams were centered around the Copenhagen area. However, some great news was that Aarhus, along with some players from Odense and Herning, developed a competitive DK West team from nearly scratch, starting from the beginning of the season. In November 2024, there were only 6 junior players coming to practice in Aarhus.
When the Danish Baseball Federation, with the help of funding from World Baseball Softball Federation Europe (WBSCE), established a “Junior Coaches’ Network” and then, with more funding to establish a bona fidé Little League, a transforming process occurred. DK West coaches networked with elite baseball coaches of the newly formed Danish National Baseball Program (DNBP), bolstering skills and competence in the West. DNBP coach Carlos Perez worked up a 12-game schedule for the 4 teams.
